Power 2016 Vehicle Dependability Study, which measures vehicle reliability based on problems reported during the past 12 months by the original owners of three-year-old vehicles. These include issues with the exterior, interior, driving experience, audio and entertainment system, engine and transmission, and more.
Of the 19 automotive segments featured, a whopping eight vehicles from General Motors were ranked as the most dependable, more than any other automotive group:

- Buick Encore – Small SUV
- Buick LaCrosse – Large Car
- Chevrolet Camaro – Midsize Sporty Car
- Chevrolet Silverado HD – Large Heavy Duty Pickup
- Chevrolet Equinox – Compact SUV
- Chevrolet Malibu – Midsize Car
- GMC Yukon – Large SUV
