Chevrolet pulled out all the stops when it revealed its latest and greatest special edition models. Racing drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Larson, and Austin Dillion drove the trucks onto the Texas Motor Speedway for the unveiling. The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Rally Edition drew eyes with its customized look.
Featuring side stripes, a monochromatic exterior, black accents, and black wheels, the Rally Edition is a fresh take on the popular Silverado pickup. The latest package to join the lineup, the Rally Edition is expected to continue the current sales trend driven by special editions.
“We introduced several special editions in 2015 – each combining equipment and appearance packages designed for specific enthusiasts in mind,” said Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet truck marketing director. They clearly resonated with buyers, selling in one-third the time – and attracting new, younger, and more affluent buyers to the brand – than the industry average.
Divided into two models, the Rally 1 is available in a double cab with custom trim and rides on 20-inch wheels. Black stripes on the hood and sides make for a customized look.
The Rally 2 rides on 22-inch wheels and is available in double cab and crew cab builds. Based on the LT Z71 trim, this model includes the stripes, side steps, and a few other additional features.
We here at Dahl Chevrolet Buick GMC are proud to see the Silverado line continuing its growth!
