Chevrolet All-Star MVP Chooses Colorado Diesel as Award

Eric Hosmer, the recent MVP for the MLB All-Star Game, recently chose the Chevrolet Colorado Diesel Midnight Edition during the MVP ceremony as a gift from the automaker. Chevrolet lets the MVP choose a car as a prize, a choice between a Camaro SS and the Colorado. Hosmer couldn’t be happier to drive away in his new pickup.

According to Chevy, the brand has been the Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball® since 2005. Through the Youth Baseball Program, Chevy has helped to raise more than $28 million to help over 5.2 million young people in communities across the US. In addition to fundraising, Chevy provides MVP’s with a reward for all their hard work.

“Hosmer’s spectacular on-field performance tonight demonstrates to all baseball fans and especially our kids that hard work, determination and teamwork is what wins, and that is why Chevrolet is proud to present the MVP award,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet.

The Chevrolet All-Star MVP award vehicle was the impressive black Z71 Colorado Diesel this year, with an all-black front end and body-colored grilled, bumpers, and more. Black wheels add a boldness you can’t find elsewhere, and a tuned suspension supports this model’s off-road performance. It’s easy to see why Hosmer chose the Chevy Colorado as his award vehicle.
