More than 40 percent of today’s market share is dominated by the SUV class, and it’s easy to see why. With a spacious interior, the ability to bring along plenty of cargo, and all-wheel drive capability, an SUV can be difficult to beat. The new Chevrolet Traverse brings new improvements to the segment for 2018, improving the design of the interior to easily accommodate fully-grown adults in the third-row seat while also providing a peppier ride.
The Chevrolet Traverse hasn’t had a full redesign since it was first introduced almost a decade ago, though its popularity hasn’t diminished in that time. But Chevy is always about staying ahead of the curve, and part of that involves knowing what people want – more room and a better driving experience. The mid-size Traverse manages to beat out even its bigger sibling, the Chevrolet Tahoe, in terms of cargo space with a whopping 98.2 cubic feet of storage with the rear rows folded down.
Engine options on the new Chevrolet Traverse will include a revised version of the familiar 3.6-liter V6 engine, as well as a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that will be available down the road.
