The 2016 Buick Regal price tag is about to take a serious cut. In an effort to attract younger buyers away from the ever-popular SUV and crossover segment, Buick has reduced the price of its 2016 Buick Regal sedan. Each trim except the base will be will see a price reduction while maintaining the same equipment, in hopes the sedan will appeal to a broader group of American car shoppers.
USAtoday.com notes that the high-performance 2016 Buick Regal GS sports sedan will see the biggest price cut at 8.7%, bringing the price down to $34,995, a full $3,320 less than the 2015 model. The Regal with premium II trim will see a $2,535 price drop, now starting at $32,490 for 2016, and the Regal Group package will be reduced by $1,000, bring the price to $29,915. Finally, the base Regal will remain unchanged at $27,990.
“Repositioning the Regal to more aggressively compete in the midsize sedan segment is the first of many steps we are taking in advance of next year’s product offensive,” Duncan Aldred, head of Buick, said to dealerships. “We’re giving our customers greater value without sacrificing the features they want.”
