The 2015 Chevrolet truck lineup is going where no trucks have gone before. ASRC Energy Services in Alaska deploys its fleet of Chevy trucks to remote areas across the state to monitor oilfield exploration and construction. These areas are often unreachable by standard trucks, but Chevy’s pickups are versatile enough that ASRC can make necessary adjustments depending on their destinations.
“Our fleet vehicles double as mobile offices for the majority of our employees, so we need to give them dependable vehicles in the remote areas where they work,” said Chris Maynard, general manager of fleet operations, ASRC Energy Services in a statement. “These locations can vary from areas with no electricity to temporary roads built on top of the frozen tundra.
ASRC’s fleet includes all of Chevrolet’s pickups: Chevrolet Colorado, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD. Each pickup is modified to meet the demands of its particular job. For example, smaller wheels are fitted to the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, so that the pickup can fit inside a Shorts 330 Sherpa airplane.
Chevrolet builds its pickups with quality, durability, and power in mind. Designed to get the job done, each pickup has something unique to offer. Stop by Dahl Chevrolet today to see our lineup of 2015 Chevrolet trucks!
